"Wonderful gems": an exhibition to "savor" with your eyes

How a collection is born, what are the stimuli and processing that transform the raw material into a creation to be admired? What history and traditions are hidden behind precious stones?

Boite d'Or is pleased to answer these questions, revealing her collection of loose gems, which has become an exhibition entitled "Wonderful Gems". The opening cocktail will be on Friday November 9th at 5 pm in the Cuneo sales point, in Corso Nizza 18. The exhibition will also be open on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 November. There will also be a second appointment at the Alba sales point, in via Vittorio Emanuele 32 / c. The inauguration will be Friday, November 16th at 5pm, while it will be possible to visit the exhibition on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th.

There are several legends that accompany the history of the gems, since the times of the Babylonians. At the time of Mithridates it was believed that these stones guarded the destiny of men. With the Egyptians developed the belief that they had therapeutic virtues for a "sensory" connection that bound them to the planets. With Christianity, the gems became "bearers of divine beauty", thanks to some passages of the Holy Scriptures.

Come and admire the charm and magic in our stores, moreover, as George Eliot, pseudonym of the British writer Mary Anne Evans said, "the gems have a life inside them: their colors speak, tell what words do not they manage to say ".
